I’m adding another “sign” on my hallway doors. I’ve already added them to the “home gym” and the “guest spa.” This one today is for the guest room, which will now be called the “guest suite!”
SUPPLIES
- “GUEST SUITE” custom adhesive from Design Divas
- tape measure
- tape
- level
- plastic card
Luckily, Design Divas always includes a great instruction sheet with helpful tips. I always start by reading that first.

Then I used a tape measure to find the center of the door. I eyeballed taping the  adhesive vinyl to the door, then used the tape measure to confirm it was centered. I had to move it a few times to get it just right. I used a level to make sure it was…well, level!
Using the tape as a hinge, I flipped up the vinyl and pulled off the back sheet. I slowly folded it back down contacting the center section first.
I used the plastic card to smooth out the adhesive from the center point out to each side. I went over it several times to make sure the adhesive was thoroughly adhered. Then I grabbed the corner and slowly pulled the top sheet off. TIP: Keep the paper close right next to the surface, so you reduce the likelihood of the letters pulling away.
And here she is! Welcome to the guest suite!…

Super cute, Amy! Love how your rooms are named.
I want to do this with all the closets in my hall way. I have a pantry, broom closet and a linen closet. Would be cool to have them all named.
