I’m adding another “sign” on my hallway doors. I’ve already added them to the “home gym,” “guest spa,” and “guest suite. Today is for…the home office, which will now be called the “studio!”
SUPPLIES
- “STUDIO” custom adhesive from Design Divas
- tape measure
- tape
- level
- plastic card
Luckily, Design Divas always includes a great instruction sheet with helpful tips. I always start by reading that first.

I used a tape measure to find the center of the door. I eyeballed taping the adhesive vinyl to the door, then used the tape measure to confirm it was centered. I had to move it a few times to get it just right. I used a level to make sure it was level.
Using the tape as a hinge, I flipped up the vinyl and pulled off the back sheet. I slowly folded it back down contacting the center section first.
I used the plastic card to smooth out the adhesive from the center point out to each side. I went over it several times to make sure the adhesive was thoroughly adhered. Then I grabbed the corner and slowly pulled the top sheet off. TIP: Keep the paper close right next to the surface, so you reduce the likelihood of the letters pulling away.
So, it went from looking like this…

If I know anyone that wants to learn the English language, I’m sending them over to your place! Ha! (When I taught art, I used to label EVERYTHING for my Spanish speaking students.) I love it. Turned out great, Amy!
that is sooo cool! but i feel like it should have your name and CEO written under it, too.
I would love to label my 3 doors in my hallway! why? I have no idea, just looks so cool!
