What is the Monthly DIY Project Party?

It is a competitive monthly party in which DIY Club members (followers) link up quality DIY tutorials. They are narrowed down to the Top 10 and one lucky winner receives an amazing grand prize package of current DIY Club sponsors’ products. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE FEBRUARY GRAND PRIZE PACKAGE.

Who can join the party?

1. Be a follower of The DIY Club
2. Have the DIY Club Member Charm in their header or sidebar

1. be a tutorial
2. include photos of all supplies used throughout the project
3. have the DIY Project Party button in the project post and/or sidebar
4. mention and link to The DIY Club in post
5. be a first-time entry in the DIY Project Party Monthly Contest

(#5-This means the project you enter this month can not be re-entered.  You can add as many projects as you would like and you can add new entries next month.)

*If your post has been deleted from the linky party, please check the entrant and post qualifications above. Simply make any necessary changes and relink!

What are the judges looking for to determine the Top 10?

In addition to the things listed above, we are looking for creative ideas, well-made projects, great step-by-step tutorial-style instructions, and quality photos.

We give extra points to those entrants that use our sponsors’ products.

How long do I have to link up?

Link up your projects through the 21st day of the current month.

Here’s how to get started…

1. Hit the follower button in the Followers Gadget to become a member of The DIY Club.
2. Grab a member charm with a chain for your header or without a chain for your sidebar…

I tried getting both buttons and putting them in my post, I couldn’t get either one to work?

Sharon @ Elizabeth & Co. February 1, 2011 at 3:59 pm

Thanks so much for hosting, but I can’t get either button to work.

Polly @ Helping Little Hands February 1, 2011 at 4:08 pm

I had trouble with the button code too. I think it might have something to do with the way you have the ” marks. I think blogger might not be recognizing some of them because they’re formatted differently and blogger is adding extra code in. I went in and re-edited the code and finally got it to work.

Thanks for hosting!

For some reason the scroll isn’t moving–I had to move the scroll bar to the bottom and then it would scroll up to grab the code.

Is this the code you used for the charm with chain?

Charm without chain?

Thanks so much for the opportunity to link up! This is my first time so I’ll finally get to learn how this whole thing works! I’m excited to finally share something I did, and not just see what everyone else did. Although I must say, I really enjoy it!

Jessica @ O. Alouette February 4, 2011 at 5:39 pm

This is my first link party ever so I am excited to participate! Thanks!

Hi Cheri! So glad I am finally getting to link up a project on here! I was wondering though, I realized that the photo I used to my tab isn’t the correct one. Is there a way I can do in and change it? Just let me know! Thanks so much for doing this!

Megan February 15, 2011 at 4:06 am

Help, where is the linky? I’m not seeing it :( Thank you!!

Jennifer February 21, 2011 at 11:50 am

I entered, but I had trouble with the buttons too. I had to save them as pictures and link the codes to them.

Farah February 23, 2011 at 10:01 am

Yes …everyone has the problem with buttons so I saved the picture of button and post it in my side bar…

Farah February 23, 2011 at 10:03 am

Can any one tell me that how can I check the linky entries?

Joon February 28, 2011 at 8:26 pm

I’m also having trouble with the buttons (and the link!), I hope this doesn’t ‘disqualify’ my post from being in the monthly contest!
