Holly’s Painting with Purdy

by Holly LL on June 30, 2011

My house is in a state of change…a mid-life crisis perhaps…who knows!? Anyway, out comes the paint…Paint is one of the easiest ways to perk up the place and transform a space.

I had hoped that when I showed you my dining room paint, I would also have some gorgeous NEW Roman Shades as well…but alas that did not happen. More on that later – when I get the situation under control!

Anyway…my paint is still beautiful! So, I’ll just share that with ya. Oh, and the “before” photos have disappeared, so you slightly have to use your imagination.

Besides the great paint color, what really made this an easy paint job is the Purdy paintbrush and roller. I have a funky texture on my walls and the Purdy roller made painting the larger areas of the wall a breeze…and guess what…with that awesome paintbrush, no taping off for me – yes, I was brave! I maneuvered around those windows and doors and ceiling with ease – it is true a good (or great) paintbrush makes all the difference!

My dining room is small, but right in the front of my house….it has some more fancy-ing up to be done to it, but great looking, well-painted walls is a start! And it makes my ugly door makeover look even better too!

I used this same color to paint some of the remaining wall areas in my kitchen and once I get that molding finished…there will be a reveal (yes, I am slow…and need an assistant!)
