I hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We’ve been putting away the fall décor and pulling out the Christmas goodies over the weekend. I thought making a Christmas décor craft over the kiddos break would be a great idea.
Here’s what I used:
Dow Styrofoam balls (used 3 different sizes)
Old sweater sleeve
scissors
burlap scraps
black pipe cleaner
elastic thread
Use Gorilla Super Glue to glue the Styrofoam balls together. Once dry I slid them into the sweater sleeve and cut the sweater with a little over hang on each end.
I took a burlap scrap and cut it to the length I wanted and tied it around the neck.
On my tall snowman I used elastic thread to cinch the area between the bottom 2 balls.
Use the glue to close off the sweater seams at the top and bottom of the snowman. (This takes some glue, trimming, tucking and repeating till it looks good)
I rolled the black pipe cleaner into the buttons and cut with a scissors at the size I wanted. Then I glued them onto the sweater.
And ended up with simple, rustic snowman buddies…
Hope to see you over at Domestically Speaking as I get ready for Christmas.

Oh my, these are SO sweet. I will definitely have to make those. Like: today!
Wow. Anyone have a spare sweater I can borrow?! Should I mention that I’m terrible at returning things…? Especially if I can make them cuter!
