You may remember this dresser I painted back in July. I loved its classic look, and the antiqued finish. I think I may have been alone though because it didn’t sell.
I decided to repaint it, and also to change the hardware. I removed all of the existing hardware and filled the holes with Wunderfil Wood Filler from Rockler.
I allowed it to dry, sanded it down, and then gave another coat of filler. I allowed that to dry (and this dries nice and quickly compared to other fillers!), sanded the entire piece, and decided to go with….. wait for it…. red again! This time I went with Red Pepper Milk Paint by General Finishes available at Rockler and I loved its more vibrant color!
Also, as a complete side note… my mom asked a few weeks ago if I would recommend this brand of milk paint or another type of very popular paint right now, and I said hands down this milk paint as I preferred its finish and texture. She took my advice and sang her praises about this paint, too. Just wanted to throw that in there. Thanks, Mom! Anyhow, here is what the dresser looks like now…. with the awesome bright paint! And you cannot even see where the holes once existed thanks to the Wunderfil!
