Waxed Pumpkins

by diy on November 5, 2012

I was painting some pumpkins for my post How To Lose Weight Over Thanksgiving.

I painted them in soft hues of aquas and turquoise.  I painted a couple of them white and one copper.

The copper had a shinier finish.

The copper was shiny and the others had a flat finish so I waxed the pumpkins.

Have you ever waxed a pumpkin?

The wax gave them a beautiful sheen.

Rockler carries a variety of different waxes.

I have used General Finishes Wax.

I have also used the Feed and Wax.

At the suggestion of Cassie from Primitive and Proper–the queen of furniture painting and waxing, I have ordered the Black Bison Wax.

She says it smells heavenly.

I can hardly wait for it to arrive.

Come on over to my place for a visit.

Its So Very Cheri
