Upcycled Tree Topper Featuring DISChangers

This past Monday on my blog, I shared a tree topper I created for a Jingle Bell Junk Swap I participated in.  We had to create a Christmas decoration from whatever our swapmate sent us.  I was sent a chicken feeder and created this tree topper….

What I didn’t share on Monday was how I got this chicken feeder snowflake to stay put on the tree!  I didn’t want to weave anything through the front as it would destroy the look I was going for.  And I didn’t want to drill into the feeder as that would destroy it.  So, DISChangers to the rescue!!!

Here is what the back of the feeder looked like…

All I did was wet my finger and rub it on the back of the DISChanger.  Then I let it sit for 5 minutes and get sticky, then I stuck it on the back of the feeder!  I let that sit for 24 hours.

See that D-ring at the top?  I was able to slide that right onto the top branch of the tree.  And now it sits gloriously atop the playful pink tree in our playroom… the kids tree!
